Interface properties of Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 ceramics: Combined experiments and first-principles calculations

چکیده

The synthesis, characterization, and first-principles calculations of Ti3SiC2/Al2O3 ceramics were reported. X-ray diffraction measurements showed that the composite highly pure. Scanning electron microscopy transmission used to characterize interface information for Ti3SiC2 Al2O3 crystals. Surface energies properties calculated using method. results suggested with Ti terminations O are more stable than other Thus powerful attraction between coordinatively unsaturated atoms on Ti3SiC2∥Al2O3 would result in higher work adhesion (Wad) shorter boundary distance, demonstrating intercrystalline strengthening ceramics.
